Vote Tom Fun

Friends of the World,
It has been 5 short but constructive years since our last election campaign. We have fought the good fight against evil and struggled to propel the wonder-boat of harmony and good times into the heart of the land. While we are overwhelmingly satisfied with our accomplishments to date, we feel our mission has just begun. Thus we are now calling upon the masses to help slingshot us into the bright white flame of our miraculous destiny. We are calling upon you to vote. Round 1 of the CBC Searchlight contest takes place between February 18th and the 24th. All you need to do is follow this path: http://music.cbc.ca/#/Searchlight-Mainstreet-Cape-Breton and cast your vote for Tom Fun. We hope you will join us in our campaign for a better tomorrow; we hope you will shine your light in the right direction.
Forever and ever, Begin:

All the Way Home…

Like the sterile morning when autumn clutches your breath and instills the forgotten sound of a voice you used to know, a new season is upon us and a new sound is reverberating from our bodily chambers like an ape beating his chest for the first time in the heart of your cultural jungle.  Underfoot, the ground crackles and sobs in the hollowing warmth of decomposition but where there is death there is a flurry of activity — the rhythm of the soil; the sound of solitude in harmony, the breaking of silence with silence and the ensuing calamity.  This is the beating of your Earthworm Heart; the story of change and repetition.  This is the ground beneath absorbing the past and repatriating it amongst your senses, until you meet again. . .

all the way home.

The Future Is Cabbage

Friends! Lovers! Companions! Mischiveous Mall Rats! Delirious Acid Eaters! The Righteous and the Bronze: Hello again, it’s us.

This week we will reunite with the city of Moncton, NB for the 2012 East Coast Music Awards week.  Our solitary performance at this year’s ECMAs takes place on Friday the 13th as part of The Cape Breton Music Industry Cooperative’s showcase concert, The Cape Breton Embassy.  There we’ll be playing along side some of our island chums in what is already being heralded as “the biggest party in ECMA history”.  You probably don’t want to miss this.
After a brief courtship with the ECMAs we’ll head back to our laboratories for a few weeks to put the finishing touches on our upcoming album, which we are all increasingly excited about as it nears completion.  We can’t wait to share it with you!   In May we’ll step out of the studio once more to find our way to St Andrew’s, New Brunswick where we’ll make a Saturday night performance at this year’sPaddlefest.  It’s music and paddling in one explosive package to open the festival season. You can play air guitar on your paddle! This is lake directory calling Party Barge!

Keep an eye and ear out for a smattering of performances over the summer and soon to be released details on our new album.

The future is a cabbage.  We intend to shred it.

Our Friend George Haggett

We’ll miss you George! Thanks for all the coca-colas and the strawberry ice cream.
