Hello Sweetie-pies
It’s time to wipe your crusty eyes and brush your furry teeth, as the East Coast Music Award weekend has packed up its lanyards and beards to bid farewell to our sleepy Cape Breton Island for another year. But ECMA did leave a very special gift behind for us in the form of an award for Best Video of the Year for Throw Me to the Rats, an honour we share with directors Alasdair Brotherston and Jock Mooney who are both super talented and very handsome. We should as well thank our good pal Darcy Campbell from Shot on Site Media and the fine folks at videoFACT for all their help with this project. It certainly would not have come to fruition without them.
We made so many great friends from both the East Coast and Other Coasts across the briny blue that we’re still glowing like fireflies, albeit very tired ones. We’re thankful for our new buddies and plan on following them home once we fix our raft of plastic bottles and brazier sails.
For now it’s off to dream of healthy food, exercise and other things we may simply leave in our dreams.
Me Dearest Lovelies
Alas, our beloved heroes have not reported in quite some time, as we’ve been twisted and tied up in Bert Corona’s never-ending beard of wonders. While immersed in the nether-realms of wiry and luscious locks, we were honoured once again with nominations for the East Coast Music Awards in the Video of the Year and People’s Choice categories. Help support our popularity by voting here.
Navigating Bert’s dirty blond beard led us to realize we’d like to create more musical merriment for our billions of adorers. Thus, we have bundled ourselves in a fort made of quilts and pillows for the winter to make songs that will hopefully be shared sometime this coming decade. For now, it’s back to the comforting confines of our beloved trumpeteer’s facial wilderness.

Dear True & Onlys,
This week
The Good Ship Tommy Fun will sail from one end of our native province to the other --
Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, home of this year's
Music Nova Scotia Week. There we'll concur the fog, seduce the wind & haunt the moon with a Saturday night showcase at The Rodd Grand Ballroom and a Sunday night performance at the Awards Gala where we're nominated for
Video of the Year and Digital Artists of the year. That's right, we're digital.

Dear Eyes of the World,
Early in the morning a flock of soft, English doves crossed the Atlantic Ocean and perched themselves on my windowsill. One by one they cooed sweetly until their message revealed itself like a banner above the rising Sun:
We are all at the Bottom of the River. "You're right little doves" I said. And then I floated away. . .
And with that we are pleased to announce that the video for Bottom of the River, directed by Alasdair Brotherston & Jock Mooney has been nominated for a UK Music Video Award. Among the competition for this award are Coldplay, The Prodigy and Röyksopp. The awards take place on October 13 in London. We will be holding our breath and crossing our toes until then.
